Overview

This module allow consistent handling of banners in puppet managed file.

Module Description

This modules allow banner contents to be stored in a Hiera store, and can be overriding via a higher level Hiera lookup.

The default contents of the banner are stored locally in in the module using the the puppet-module-data moule.

Setup

puppet module install bi-bi_banner -i /path/to/modules

Usage


define my_define() {
    require bi_banner
    ...
    file {'/some/configuration/with/pound/comments':
        ensure => 'present',
        ...
        content => template("$bi_banner::pound_header", "other file contents")
    }
}
