3.0 quality score

We run a couple of automated
scans to help you access a
module's quality. Each module is
given a score based on how well
the author has formatted their
code and documentation and
modules are also checked for
malware using VirusTotal.

Please note, the information below
is for guidance only and neither of
these methods should be considered
an endorsement by Puppet.

apache Module

This module manages apache with particular emphasis on providing mechanisms to allow for unmanaged (by Puppet) configuration of virtual hosts.

  # configure the global apache
  class { 'apache':
    service_ensure => true,
    service_enable => true,
    server_admin   => '',

  # setup a vhost for, mark it as the default vhost and
  # add a few aliases.
  apache::vhost { '':
    document_root => '/var/www/html/',
    is_default    => true,
    server_name   => '',
    server_alias  => [ '',
                      '' ],
    ssl           => false,

  # if server_name is not specified, the $namevar is used. So in this case
  # server_name = ''.  This one has ssl setup using a
  # self-signed cert (since not intermedaite cert is provided).
  apache::vhost { '':
    ssl          => true,
    ssl_key_file => '/etc/pki/tls/private/private.key',
    ssl_crt_file => '/etc/pki/tls/certs/public.crt',

  # another ssl example, this time with an intermediate cert being provided
  apache::vhost { '
    ssl          => true,
    ssl_key_file => '/etc/pki/tls/private/private.key',
    ssl_crt_file => '/etc/pki/tls/certs/public.crt',
    ssl_int_file => '/etc/pki/tls/certs/intermediate.crt',
