puppet-kvlog

Description

A Puppet report processor for sending metrics to syslog.

Useful for environments using Splunk that want to report on Puppet metrics.

Requirements

  • Puppet

Installation & Usage

  1. Install puppet-kvlog as a module in you Puppet master's module path.

  2. Enable pluginsync and reports on your master and clients in puppet.conf.

    [master]
report = true
reports = kvlog
pluginsync = true
[agent]
report = true
pluginsync = true

  3. Run the Puppet client and sync the report processor as a plugin.
