port_test
Puppet Enterprise Task to test TCP port connectivity to a destination server or IP address.
Description
This module contains a single basic task which runs a ruby script to test if one or more TCP ports are open.
The task will respond in JSON with pass
or fail
for each port specified.
Parameters
destination
The destination server or IP address.
port
A comma-seperated list of the ports to test.
What are tasks?
Modules can contain tasks that take action outside of a desired state managed by Puppet. It’s perfect for troubleshooting or deploying one-off changes, distributing scripts to run across your infrastructure, or automating changes that need to happen in a particular order as part of an application deployment.
